General objetives:

•           o Strengthening the cross-border cooperation between Banat Universities for the benefit of the quality of life
•           o Identifying of common environmental air quality related problems
•           o Improvement of the quality of air in Banat region and improvement of the collaboration between Banat region universities
•           o Improvement & development of a regional research network for cross-border air quality monitoring
•           o Increasing the importance of R&D in the field of environmental protection in border area by involving young scientists
•           o Cross-border area development in the Banat region by means of education and innovation
•           o Dissemination of know-how to specialists, young researchers, population and authorities

Results from Air Quality Monitoring Campaigns will be available online at http://banatair.mec.upt.ro and www.mediu.ro. 9 monitoring in-stu campaigns will be conducted in Panceva, Bor, Kikinda, Zrenjanin and Vrsac (Serbia) and in Timis and Caras-Severin counties.

Two major workshops will be organized, one in Zrenjanin and one in Timisoara.
